Do debit or credit card donations have additional service fees associated with them?

Merchant fees that are charged by the credit card and hosting companies. These are approximately 3% of fees charged on each debit or credit card donation. For example, the net amount of a £100 donation to Josiah Venture United Kingdom is £97. A slight increase in your donation could offset the fee.  If you are a UK tax payer, the entire amount donated, that is the amount before credit card fees, is gift aidable if you fill in a Gift Aid Declaration.
