Anya Dyka

Anya grew up in an Orthodox family, where faith felt more like a list of rules and traditions, rather than a living relationship with God. That perspective began to shift when a friend invited her to start attending Josiah Venture (JV) Fusion. What she experienced there surprised her—people who were genuinely kind, families with healthy relationships, and a community that truly loved and cared for one another. Her curiosity led her to stay, join small groups, and start reading the Bible. She still had some doubts about faith, but at a JV Ukraine girls’ conference, God answered her prayer in a powerful, personal way, and she surrendered her life to him.

Anya soon found herself not just attending Fusion, but also serving in Fusion at her local church. There, she not only helped with the practical side of ministry, but also with building relationships with girls and discipling them.

In the summer of 2024, Anya stepped into a new season as a JV Ukraine intern. Through serving in different churches, she saw the bigger picture of God’s Kingdom and felt a growing passion to care for church teams so they could continue reaching teenagers. Later that year, God opened the door for her to serve on a project with the JV Ukraine Camps team, where she experienced firsthand what long-term missions look like. By the end of the project, she realized that God was calling her into full-time ministry. Today, Anya serves full-time with the JV Ukraine Camps team and supports the evangelistic project SpringFest, both of which partner with churches in Ukraine to help more young people encounter the hope of the gospel.
