Kateřina Tichá
Katya comes from a non-Christian Czech family and her first experience with Josiah Venture (JV) was at an English summer camp in 2009. She heard the gospel for the first time and was captured by it. She kept coming back to camp every year, and during that time she accepted Christ as her Savior. It was very natural for her to join her local church youth group in Prague and help lead and organize English summer camps with them. With every camp where Katya served, she realized her passion for the summer camps ministry, as well as for the ministry of JV as a whole. So, she served as a JV summer intern in 2015 and 2016.
In September 2016, Katya joined the JV team to serve full-time on the International Communications Team as a graphic designer. After almost 8 years of service with JV, she discerned God's call to shift her ministry focus from communications to missionary member care. Katya desires to see JV missionaries thrive in their lives and ministries, and to support them through pastoral care and counseling. Thus, she is currently pursuing her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Denver Seminary to get further trained and equipped. Katya loves doing discipleship and pouring into the young generation no matter the geographic location.
