Timotej & Lucia Mahrik
Timo and Lucia grew up in the same church—CB Church in Žilina, Slovakia. Both of their fathers were strongly involved in ministry there; Timo’s dad was a leading pastor and Lucia’s dad was one of the elders. Timo and Lucia got baptized when they were 14. Timo started serving in his local church’s worship band at the age of 12. When he was 16, he joined the youth ministry. A couple years later, Timo became a leader of the team and Lucia joined. They have both been involved in outreach ministry through their local church, and, after eight years of ministry, have passed the leadership role to the next generation of leaders. They have together joined their church planting team which has started a second CB Church in Žilina. Timo and Lucia have a strong passion for youth, outreach ministry, and the local church. Together, they lead a small group and missional community. The couple was married in the fall of 2011. Lucia is a high school teacher. After six years of working in the IT sector, Timo is joining Josiah Venture Slovakia as Executive Director of Operations. They currently live and serve in Žilina.
